Model 3D shadow projection

With the tool [Menu] > [Cad Tools] > [Project 3D model boundary] is possible project the shadow of 3D model onto a 2D plane.

Open the tool screen.

Select the desidered destination 2D workplane.

Select the Z level . Usually is the model bottom.

The model below the z level will be ignored.

Select an upper level if you want to ignore some part of the model.

Click on "Create projection"

In the selected workplane , it will be created the 2D boundary area of the 3D model.

You can consider as the shadow of the model in the selected z level.
