How to edit cut data and tool geometry
To edit operation cutting data :
- first open tool dialog , see here .
- Once the tool dialog is open , you can change cutting data and tool geometry .
See images below.
From Tool Geometry tab , you can edit parameters related to tool geometry.
From Cut Data tab, you can change parameters related to maching cutting data, like speed , feed, cut depth , coolant mode and so on.
Max Removal Rate
The max removal rate is a safety measure thinked to reduce the possibility the case of wrong cutting data input.
In the example below with valid cut data values, you get a current 125cm3/min .
You can set this as max accepted removal rate and insert it as maximum threshold value.
If I set a wrong cut data value and the calculated current removal rate is bigger then the setted threshold, the value is displayed in red as warning.
For example , in the image below I set a 0.8 mm/rev , which is a huge feed, the current remove rate will be displayed in red as warning.
This behaviour will help to reduce error in cut data insertion.
